Lower School Teacher, Grades 3-5

Veritas prepares students with a strong academic foundation in reading, writing, English grammar, arithmetic, western civilization, and Biblical literacy in grades K-6. The overarching priority of the program is to establish the basis for sound thinking and communicating, making use of a broad range of historical, biblical, and literary knowledge.
Lower School teachers are typically compatible with the following profile:
- Committed Christian in agreement with the Veritas Statement of Faith
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in education or a pure liberal art (e.g., English, math, history)
- Committed to and experienced in helping children to see God’s hand in nature and history as well as in relationships within the family, church, and school
- A passion for classical Christian education
- A personal love of learning
- Collegial with and supportive of colleagues
- Effective problem solvers in partnership with students and parents
- Organizational skills and aptitude for managing a classroom
Upper School Life Science/Biology Teacher
Veritas School is seeking a part-time, potentially full-time, Upper School Life Science (7th-grade)/Biology (9th-grade) teacher beginning in August of 2012. Candidates who have experience collaborating with colleagues to reform/refine pedagogy and curricula will be given special consideration. Veritas School is seeking a part-time, potentially full-time, Upper School Latin teacher beginning in August of 2012.
