Athletics

At Veritas School, we view athletics as an important means of accomplishing our mission of developing students of wisdom and virtue. We believe that through physical exertion, team play, and competition, our students become more fully developed young men and women.

CROSS COUNTRY (XC)

Cross Country season begins in August and runs through the beginning of November.  The cross-country program continues to experience great success – not just in terms of achievement, but also in terms of building our young men and women and the school community at large. The XC teams compete against other private schools in the area such as Collegiate, Trinity, Steward School, and St. Christopher’s.

SOCCER, TENNIS, GOLF

Beginning in the 2011-2012 school year, Veritas is launching soccer, tennis, and golf programs. These teams will begin at a “club” level and will consist of practice and some inter-squad contests at skill levels appropriate with the abilities and ages of the athletes. The goal is to have boys’ and girls’ teams established at the MS, JV, and Varsity levels in soccer as quickly as the interest allows. Likewise, boys’ and girls’ varsity tennis teams and a varsity co-ed golf team will be established as soon as the interest allows.
