Athletics

At Veritas School, we view athletics as an important means of accomplishing our mission of developing students of wisdom and virtue. We believe that through physical exertion, team play, and competition, our students become more fully developed young men and women.

timothy harmon bballCurrently, VERITAS sponsors boys’ and girls’ athletic teams at the Lower School, Middle School, Junior Varsity, and Varsity levels in the following sports:

  • Soccer (Grades 5-12)
  • Cross-country (Grades 6-12) - 2011 and 2012 VISAA Division 2 State Champions – Boys’ Cross-country
  • Basketball (Grades 5-12)
  • Track and field (Grades 6-12)

Tennis and golf are currently offered at a club level for grades 6-12. The goal is to have boys’ and girls’ Varsity tennis teams and a Varsity co-ed golf team established as soon as the interest allows.

VERITAS is a member of the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association (VISAA) as a non-conference school.
