At the parent forum on February 21st, an update was provided on our facilities search. Here is a brief summary of the update:

• We continue to investigate open doors and opportunities as they arise (whether it be undeveloped land or existing property)
• Of the various opportunities, one in particular has proved promising – Baptist Theological Seminary of Richmond (BTSR)
• We have looked at BTSR multiple times and have met with the brokers (CBRE) – as well as Union Presbyterian Seminary (would be neighbors).
• The current status is that we remain very interested and are moving forward in a prudent and prayerful manner. Although we are encouraged, there are many steps and challenges ahead… in other words, we have plenty to pray about!

We continue to seek the Lord’s will for the future of Veritas. Feel free to call or stop me on campus, if you have a particular question.  Otherwise, we will keep you updated as things develop.

Veritas was founded in 1999 for the purpose of assisting parents in providing their children an academically rigorous classical and Christian education – an education that would cultivate wisdom, virtue, and eloquence in the heart and mind of students and would prepare them to engage the world with purpose and confidence.

Since our founding, Veritas has been steadily growing and maturing. We are pleased with our progress but also know the best is yet to come. We will continue working diligently to provide Richmond area families an opportunity for their children to receive the highest quality education in the context of a distinctively Christian community of faith. I like to say we are committed to “discipleship and scholarship without one compromising the other”.
