Instruction at Veritas acknowledges that all life, knowledge and meaning extend from our Creator. Our Christ-centered curriculum allows us to do more than simply provide a religion class among many other classes. By integrating the Scriptures throughout the curriculum, we present the Lord as the one in whom all knowledge is founded and united. Our desire is to lead students in a pursuit of truth knowing that all truth points to God. We encourage every student to develop a deep, genuine relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
Students are taught how history displays God's providence, how math manifests the order and symmetry of God's creation, how language arts can provide them the tools necessary to extend Christ's kingdom, how science testifies of God's actions and methods, and how through the creative arts God has entrusted them with a finite ability to create. This integrated approach, in concert with scriptural training and regular worship, combines faith and reason to encourage students to develop a thorough and thoughtful Christian worldview.
Veritas students develop a strong knowledge base from the great people, thinkers and writers throughout history and learn to understand the consequences of ideas and actions. By combining the knowledge of the past with the skills to reason logically about the significant issues of their lives, students are able to learn independently and cultivate strong minds that can distinguish truth from error.
Students will learn that absolute truth exists and that God is sovereign over all aspects of His redemptive creation. As a result, they can, with confidence and without fear, explore a variety of challenging ideas and philosophies.
Our ultimate goal is to equip students with the knowledge, skills and vision to be leaders and servants for Christ in all vocations.
Respectful Learning Environment
An orderly, structured atmosphere is conducive to student development and learning. Our intent is to instruct students to obey their parents, and to show that same respect to all persons of authority as well as fellow students.
Personal Attention to Students
Veritas is intent on assisting each student in the development of his or her talents, interests and gifts. Through small class sizes, teachers able to know and love every student in a way that will encourage them to strive to reach their God-given potential.
Serve Parents
Vertias is an extension of your family - the responsible unit in God's plan for the education of your children. We view our teachers as functioning within the delegated authority given by the parents. Since parents are accountable to God for the education of their child, we encourage each of you to be involved in all aspects of school life at Veritas.
Student Characteristics
Veritas students are ordinary children. In most cases, they aren't ahead of the academic or intellectual curve. They are viewed as uniquely created in the image of God, each with specific abilities and needs. Instead of setting a high academic standard that children are expected to meet, Veritas teachers support and challenge students in achieving a standard of excellence in their academic and spiritual lives.
