School-wide events are designed to enhance student learning and strengthen school community.
Literature Day and History Day are annual favorites in the Lower School. Students dress as their favorite characters and enjoy feasts and activities celebrating great books and historical figures.
Each November students look forward to Grandparent's Day when they share presentations and classroom visits with their grandparents. Upper School students serve grandparents at a special luncheon held in their honor.
A Thanksgiving Feast brings together young Pilgrims and Indians for a special assembly, period games and a delicious meal.
Both the Christmas program and Fine Arts Day are wonderful times of fellowship and celebration. The Christmas program culminates months of preparing special music and drama to honor the newborn King. The spring Fine Arts Day highlights student artwork and includes an additional program of music and drama.
The end-of-year Field Day is a highlight, whether in the form of a Greek Olympics, Gold Rush Day or a Medieval Tournament. Upper School students enjoy a separate Field Day event at a local park.
For Upper School students, special events are scheduled throughout the year to enhance school spirit and friendship beyond the walls of the school. A fall Upper School Retreat, the Turkey Chase, a Student/Staff basketball game and a special Valentine's Day luncheon are Veritas traditions.
