Mr. Abbot Street
Humanities and Theology Teacher
Mr. Abbot Street came to teaching after working for several years in media and the arts. A Los Angeles native, he earned Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in English from the City University of New York, where he also taught undergraduate freshman composition. He and his wife, Beth, met and were married at Resurrection Williamsburg church in Brooklyn and have three young children—a girl named Noa and two boys named Jesse and Rye. Recently, they have lived near extended family in Washington D.C. area, where Mr. Street has taught Humanities and Theology at Washington Christian Academy and Glenelg Country School. Mr. Street is a published fiction writer and a freelance screenwriter, and in his spare time he enjoys writing, reading, hiking, skateboarding, and surfing. His wife is also a trained English teacher, as well as a distinguished amateur cook, a practice of which Abbot is the grateful beneficiary.
