Ms. Katy Baker

Ms. Katy Baker earned her BS in Interdisciplinary Studies from Abilene Christian University and has spent the last eleven years teaching in elementary classrooms, most recently third grade. She was excited to encounter classical Christian education, which gave her a paradigm for education that she had been longing for since coming into the classroom, and her favorite book about classical education is Consider This: Charlotte Mason and the Classical Tradition by Karen Glass. Katy belongs to Hill City church and is a life-long lover of travel, delighting in new adventures, learning about new cultures and ideas, and meeting new people. She is greatly looking forward to inviting students into her classroom in the fall, where they will experience education as “an atmosphere, a discipline, a life.” (Charlotte Mason)
