Mr. Craig Kompelien

Mr. Craig Kompelien came to Veritas last year from Albemarle County in Charlottesville, where he had taught math since 2011. Mr. Kompelien earned a degree in Mathematics with a minor in Music Performance at Liberty University. Upon graduating, he spent several years in the world of finance as an actuary, but soon realized that teaching was his calling and has been in education ever since.  He is a life-long lover of music and grew up playing piano, trumpet, guitar, and drums, with a special affinity for jazz. Craig loves collecting vinyl records, playing board games, and spending time with his family. His wife, Jessica, is a high school librarian in Hanover County, and his son, Graham, attends Veritas.
