  • Head of Lower School

    The Head of Lower School provides academic, spiritual, and cultural leadership to faculty, students, and parents in the Lower School. The Head ensures the academic program’s alignment with Veritas’ mission to offer a robust classical and Christian education. He or she nurtures a warm and orderly culture where delight and diligence cohabit with the Gospel message. The Head of the Lower School reports to the Head of School.   • Athletics Director

    The Athletic Director reports directly to the Head of School and is a member of the senior leadership team. He or she develops and supervises the athletic personnel, programming, and resources. The Athletic Director is an integral part of the mission of the school, providing Christian mentoring and shepherding to students. Please see the description below for more details.

  • Latin Teacher

    The goal of Latin instruction at Veritas is to provide the opportunity for the engagement and enjoyment of the Latin language from multiple historical periods. In class the teacher instructs actīvō modō based on principles drawn from the rich precedent of teaching and learning Latin in the Middle Ages and Renaissance, as well as those supplied by research from the field of second language acquisition. At its core, this approach centers on reading and communicating with students in comprehensible ways and thus provides students with the opportunity to learn Latin as a living language. As such, students learn to read Latin as Latin, a skill which they continue to cultivate as they read works from the classical and medieval periods in subsequent levels of the curriculum.

    The Latin Teacher may instruct both Upper School (7th-12th grade) and/or Lower School (5th-6th grade) Latin classes as needed. One full-time and one part-time position are available.   • Lower School Teacher (Grade JK - 2)

    The Junior Kindergarten through 2nd grade teacher provides classroom instruction to students across a variety of subjects with a strong emphasis on math and early reading skills, and guides students through the routines, procedures, classes, and tasks of the school day. The position requires an educator who is a mature Christian who loves teaching and shepherding children. He or she should be a person who is personable, organized, and committed to providing a caring and engaging learning environment in which students’ minds, hearts, and souls are cultivated and nurtured.   • Lower School Teacher (Grade 3 - 6)

    The 3rd-6th grade teacher provides classroom instruction to students across a variety of subjects with a strong emphasis on math and language arts and guides students through the routines, procedures, classes, and tasks of the school day.   • Part-Time Lower School Math Teacher (Grades 5-6)

    The Part-Time 5th-6th Grade Mathematics teacher provides classroom instruction to students using Singapore Mathematics instruction. The position requires an educator experienced with mathematics who is personable, organized, and possesses strong mathematics conceptual understanding and classroom management skills.
