Ways to Give

How can you make a gift to Veritas School?
God has blessed each of us with the ability to contribute in different ways. Whether sharing your time and talents through volunteer work or making a financial gift, we are grateful for the powerful way God provides for our school through His people. Your gifts of time, talent and treasure play a critical role in assisting Veritas in its desire to cultivate students of wisdom and virtue.

  • Cash Gifts

    Cash gifts are the simplest and easiest gifts you can make. Credit/debit transaction is available here, and you can also write a check payable to Veritas School. Please mail checks to Veritas School, Attention: Development Office, 3400 Brook Road, Richmond, VA 23227.

  • Matching Gifts

    Matching gifts can double or even triple the value of your gift. Many employers match gifts made to non-profits by their employees and retirees. To learn if your company matches gifts, please contact your company’s Human Resource Department.

  • Gifts of Securities

    Gifts of securities offer significant tax advantages to the donor. By making a gift of this type, the donor can take a tax deduction for the full market value of the securities, while avoiding capital gains taxes. For details, please contact the Development Office for our preferred account information with Ameritrade.

  • IRA Charitable Rollover

    This provision allows retirees age 70 1/2 and older to donate up to $100,000 tax free from their IRA to a charitable organization, including Veritas.

  • Gifts In-Kind

    In-kind gifts are contributions of tangible items that the school would otherwise have to purchase. Examples of in-kind gifts donated to Veritas have included works of art, athletic equipment and uniforms, musical instruments, and other school supplies.

  • Planned Gifts

    Planned gifts are deferred gifts made in a donor’s estate plans.

  • Collect Box Tops for Education

    Veritas has raised thousands of dollars by collecting Box Tops. Box Tops recently went digital, and it's so easy! Participants can download the app in the Apple Store or Google Play, set Veritas School as your recipient, and snap a photo of each receipt - the Box Tops are automatically credited to our school.

  • Shop through Amazon Smile

    Amazon has a charitable program that will donate a small percentage to our school for every eligible purchase. To access this program, go to www.smile.amazon.com and select Veritas Classical Christian School as your organization. 

    As long as you select www.smile.amazon.com before you make a purchase, Amazon will remember your selection and make a contribution to our school.
