Mr. Daniel Payne
Head of Lower School
Mr. Daniel Payne joined Veritas in 2022 while completing his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Richmond. Before serving as Head of Lower School, Daniel spent over a decade teaching young students in multiple classical schools. He is particularly delighted to work with students at the beginning of their journey in the liberal arts tradition; these years are full of enchantment and wonder. Off campus, Daniel hosts and produces a podcast discussing classic works of children’s literature. He has developed classical curriculum for multiple books in The Chronicles of Narnia and has also taught on CS Lewis in various professional and parochial settings. Daniel and his wife, Anna, live in Church Hill with their children.
