Mrs. Karen Chippendale

Sixth Grade Teacher
Mrs. Karen Chippendale has become a regular presence in the Veritas classroom where, for the past few years, she has served as a frequent and skillful substitute teacher. Her favorite subject to teach is mathematics, which—given her background as a CPA—is a passion for her. Since 2011, Karen has actively volunteered in the Veritas community, and, before moving to Richmond, she also led high-school mission trips, adult and children’s Bible studies, and Sunday school classes. Karen looks forward to helping 6th grade students not only learn about ratios and percents, but also see how mathematics shows the order and beauty of God’s world. Karen is an alumna of Wake Forest University, where she earned Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in Accountancy.  Karen and her husband, Bill, have lived in Richmond since 2009 and are blessed to have their three children enrolled at Veritas: Will, Addie, and James.
