Mrs. Lilli Benko

String Orchestra Teacher
Lilli Benko has a multi-faceted background in the performing arts as a string, choral, and dramatic performer and is a passionate advocate for cultivating a lasting love of music in her students. With a double Bachelor of Arts in Music and Rhetoric/Communication Studies from the University of Virginia, Mrs. Benko studied violin with Ronda Respess (Atlanta Symphony), participated in summer music festivals at the Brevard School of Music and the Indiana University School of Music and has served as concertmaster and first violinist in many ensembles. She has also served as music director and teacher for CharacterWorks Theater and has taught in the Richmond Symphony Youth Orchestra Program. Lilli and her husband Matt have two sons, one currently at Veritas and one recent graduate. She has been on staff at Veritas since 2011 and is particularly excited about shepherding a thriving strings program and cultivating a love for beautiful music within our school community and throughout the City of Richmond.
